Fuse Beader – Privacy Policy
Fuse Beader ("the App", "we", "us") is a bead-craft app for iPad and iPhone: you place beads on screen, fuse them in a realistic ironing simulation, and can have your finished piece scored by AI. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who processes it, and the choices you have.
1. Information we collect
| Data | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Player nickname (editable anytime) | Shown on leaderboards and used to link your records. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as a nickname. |
| Anonymous player ID – created by our sign-in/leaderboard service (Unity Gaming Services) the first time you use the leaderboard | Links your scores to your app installation. It is not your Apple ID and is not tied to your real identity. |
| Country & language – two-letter country code from your device region settings, plus your system language | Localization (English/Chinese) and aggregate statistics. Not used for ad tracking. |
| Gameplay data – room and challenge progress, bead artwork, AI scores and grades | Kept on your device to restore your work and show your results; your total score and best score are sent to the leaderboard under your nickname. |
| Session activity – the date and time you open the App | Recorded in our cloud database (Firebase) under your nickname, so we can understand how the App is used. |
| Images – artwork you choose or create, and the captured picture of your finished bead board | Sent to our AI provider for color extraction and scoring (see §3). The copy on your device stays on your device. |
We do not ask for your real name, email address, phone number, precise location or contacts, and the App does not use your camera or microphone.
2. How we use your information
- Provide the core features: bead placement, the ironing simulation, image export and timed challenges.
- Generate AI color palettes (MARD color codes) and AI scores, grades and comments for your finished pieces.
- Save your progress and best results, and show your leaderboard ranking.
- Localize the App and understand aggregate usage so we can improve it.
- Keep AI features reliable and fair: they have daily usage limits and timeouts.
3. AI processing
When you use AI color extraction or AI scoring, the relevant content (an artwork or reference image) is sent to our AI vision provider, DeepSeek, which returns a palette or a 0–100 score with a short comment. The provider processes that content on our behalf for these features only, and the copies we keep stay on your device. Scores and comments are automated output for fun and encouragement — they are not a professional assessment of your work.
4. Storage and service providers
- Firebase (Google) — cloud database holding your nickname-keyed session activity records (date/time, country, language).
- Unity Gaming Services (Unity Technologies) — anonymous sign-in and the leaderboards that hold your nickname, total score and best score.
- DeepSeek — the AI provider described in §3.
- Apple / iOS — the photo library, used only when you export an image (see §1 Images). Any purchases are handled by Apple.
These providers process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above. Data may be processed in countries other than your own.
5. What others can see
Leaderboards are public: your nickname, total score, best score and rank are visible to other players. Please do not use your real name or any personal information as a nickname. We may remove or replace nicknames that are offensive or impersonate someone else, and you can report a nickname to us using the contact details in §12.
6. Photo library
When you export a finished picture, iOS asks for permission to add it to your Photos. You can change that anytime in iOS Settings; the App uses the permission only to save the images you export. Choosing an image uses the system photo/file picker, which shares only the item you pick.
7. Tracking and advertising
We do not use your data for advertising or cross-app tracking, we do not include third-party ad SDKs, and we do not sell your personal information.
8. Retention and deletion
We keep your nickname, cloud session records, leaderboard entry and device-stored work for as long as needed to run the App. You can change your nickname at any time. Deleting the App removes local data (progress and images) from your device, but not your cloud records. To request access to, correction of, or deletion of your cloud data, contact us using the details below and include the nickname you used; we aim to respond within 30 days. Because leaderboards are shared, a deletion request results in your entry being removed or your nickname being cleared.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under Singapore's PDPA, the EU/UK GDPR or California law), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to withdraw consent, and to object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights, and you may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
10. Children
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Leaderboards are public, so younger players should use a nickname only and never share personal details. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including the security features of Firebase and encrypted (HTTPS) connections to our service providers, to protect your data. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows the latest version, and material changes will be noted in the App or on this page.
